Book release and signing on May 4th in San Jose

3rd May, 2010 - Posted by Administrator - 12 Comments

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the book, Performance Marketing with Google Analytics.  It’s been a whirlwind of work to bring this to print.  While the book is heading to bookstores near you and already available on Amazon.com (see at right), thanks to the team at Google Analytics we have been able put together a launch event on May 4th in San Jose.

Performance Marketing with Google Analytics

Stop by the Cupertino room at the eMetrics San Jose conference between 3:00 and 3:30 pm on Tuesday May 4th to get a free copy of the book, courtesy of Google Analytics!  We (Sebastian, Caleb, and Justin) will be there too signing copies and answering your questions.

Hope to see you there!

Was wondering how good a book that was being given away at a conference was. Little did I know it was the launch of an excellent resource.

Almost finished it from cover to cover already. Eye opening for us Users who don’t focus on conversion and SEM. Really thoughtful AND practically written – that’s unusual.

Thanks!

I must say the book is brilliant absolutely brilliant! Kudos to all that put this book together!

I’m wondering for the sample URLs that are mentioned in the book with those be available soon?

Thanks!

@lilbit:

Thanks for the feedback! I’m glad to hear you like the book. Many of the links listed in the text of the book (ones that point to external sites) should be operational. Most of the additional resource articles referenced in the book are still forthcoming here on the Analytics for Marketers blog. Stay tuned!

Fantastic book for the technophobe. Bought book late evening at Borders in Atlanta on 14 May. It is early morning on the 15th and have gone through 50% of book. Wow! Searched in vain for the links such as analyticsformarketers.com/s/insights. Know you’re involved in the book roll-out and publicity, but when will the links be available? The power of your book is its links. It’s like providing a gun with no bullets (my apologies to the anti-gun crowd) but I can’t think of another analogy right now.

Donn,

Thanks for reading, and for commenting about the broken links. The link you referenced, analyticsformarketers.com/s/insights, should have been working but wasn’t – I’ve fixed this now. We are working hard to get all the reference links up and additional articles written… and we’ll work to add more content here on this site than what is linked from the book in the months and years ahead. So, stay tuned!

Best,

-Caleb Whitmore

Thanks for the reply. Sunday (16 May) 12 noon EST. Still having problem getting following links to come up:
(a) analyticsformarketers.com/s/insights (b) analyticsformarketers.com/s/keword-suggestions (c) analyticsformarketers.com/s/sem-tools

Donn,

The Insights link goes to Google Insights for Search. The Keyword Suggestions link you provided is mispelled (“keword”) – I’ve added a catch for this, but the actual link, http://www.analyticsformarketers.com/s/keyword-suggestions does redirect to the Google Keyword Suggestions tool.

The third link will be a post about a range of other SEM tools – that is yet to be completed.

Thanks for your continuing feedback!

Best,

-Caleb

Hi, my copy has just arrived today and am really looking forward to getting tuck into it. I think I have a good working knowledge of GA, SEM and SEO etc. I hope this book proves me wrong. Well done to the three of you. Your book is a must for anyone who wants their website to work for them.

Cheers

Hi, Great book, I’m really enjoying it and am reading it cover to cover. The only problem is I’ve tried to check out the /s/business-requirements spreadsheet but it doesn’t exist. Any chance this could be fixed.

Bob,

Thanks for the feedback. Not all of the companion resources are published yet here on the site. Yours isn’t the first request for the business requirements worksheet, so I’ll see what I can do to bump up the priority on getting that resource completed.

Best,

-Caleb
